JD Sports

The Brief:

High-street giant JD Sports were keen to mark their 40th Birthday in style this year with a global outdoor media campaign centred around the history and development of the famous JD duffle bag designs.
Working alongside sister production company Plan Productions, the Dot team were tasked to produce 12 over-sized shoe boxes to create a colourful and eye-catching backdrop for the campaign shoot. Each box featured a unique design to commemorate the evolution of the famous JD logo & duffle bag design over the years since JD Sports was established back in 1981.

The Result:

The in-house print team at Dot worked tirelessly to ensure these prestigious and brightly coloured designs were perfectly colour-matched, consistent and looking sharp. The designs were printed onto a high-tac, matt vinyl and then mounted onto weight-bearing MDF boxes. The Dot team selected a matt vinyl that offered not only a super clean finish but also provided the durability required for model interaction on the shoot.
The final result was an impactful and striking global outdoor media ‘I AM JD’ campaign – recently spotted at the iconic Piccadilly Circus!
